.THE WHOLE TRACK IS MINE.
It was hard for colts to get over themselves, Beau was the perfect egsample of a stuck up colt that knew just how impressive he really was. He knew how to strut his stuff and send his whole audience into a silence, this colt could drop mouths of even the most experienced trainers out there, he had proven it many times before. But this horse could do more than that. He could run the Snow Pearl race track in just over 2 minuets. He could race on almost any terrain. The Snow pearl track was dirt, usualy mud but the dry weather had triggered soft grainy earth, today.
Marien mounted, the colt swung his head up, his ears pinning to his scalp as he began to pace, shifting his weight around. Marien pulled back on him, she was no small or light jockey, but Nick didn't start untill the evening today. Marien nodded to Amy, who came forwards and took hold of the bay colt at the bit. She led him on, the thoroughbred grunting and prancing beside her. He looked around, catching sight of a few filly's in the paddock and deciding to pigroot. Marien rubbed her hand down his neck and turned his head from the pasture, the colt snorted in disatisfaction. Passing through two gates, once on the track, Amy jogged to the nearest fence to get a better veiw, while Marien adjusted her reins.
All that was needed was Marien to lean forawards, and with Amy's 'Go!' the colt reached forawrds in a first impressive stride, already in an almost full gallop. Marien was almost left behind, hovering in thin air. She could image behind left behind, the colt running a whole lap in time to fall underneath her again. Marien smiled and focused back on the ride. She seemed to be vibrating in the saddle as the colt sped on, his strides where the slightest bit bumpy, but nothing to hard to handle. Amy moved her ring finger, in order to trigger him back to a slower gallop, she didn't want him pulling a muscle. He had a few races in a couple of days.
The colt outstretched his neck, wanting to go faster, but Marien tightened her grip on the reins and gave the slightest half halts. Beau never needed a whip, he knew how to run without it. They had reached the half way mark, and marien released her grip slightly on the colts reins, the dark-bay reached down with his mug, towers pinned to his scalp, flat and almost unnoticable. His short main bounced on his neck, jetten tail flagging behind him, dancing on the wind. Hooves reached forawrds in loud thumps, slighting the moist soil beneath him, pulling him forwards in fast and speedy strides.
Marien could feel how much easier it would be for him to carry Nick, she knew the colt would do better with someone a tad shorter and lighter. Oh well, it just helped his training even more to carry a heavier person. Marien glanced a cross, she could see Amy, looking down at the timer and then glancing back up. She could see the passion in her daughters face, how much she wanted to race herself. Marien tried to sigh, but the adrenalin pulsing through her from her mount faught it back. Suddenly Amy was infront of them and Marien tugged gently at the bay thoroughbreds reins, pulling at his bit.
Finaly coming to a walk, she could see Amy rushing towards them. "Two fourty two!" she said in excitement. Marien raised her brow and rubbed the colts shoulder "Well done, Beau"
