THE HORSE;
Registered Name: Grasshopper Barn Name: Roo Age: 2 Breed: Thoroughbred Colour: Grey Markings: Blaze Height: 16.1 hh Gender: Colt
To Roo, everything is a game. He seems to be the very playful type, not the most intelligent of all horses, but certainly the most frisky. I think, at times, that Roo forgets he's not as small and harmless as he used to be. He prances and dances around practically all day long, until of course he cant dance anymore and collapses in a heap where he can snooze until he's disturbed by something exciting. The thing he loves to do most is roll. As soon as he see's somewhere dusty or muddy, rider or not he's rolling until his hearts content. I remember once when Amy thought it fun to take the colt for a walk around bare-back (something I wouldn't do) he noticed a bare patch in the grass, and without second thoughts he was on his side and Amy had to leap off ad watch him roll and roll, enjoying every second of the dust storm he was creating. Not-So-Generously built, Roo is very light and at times this can benefit him on the track, while at times It can bruise his success. He's a total spark, strong at heart with not a speck of harmful intentions on his mind, I am pretty confident that nothing at all can break his spirit.

Roo is keen in almost any condition. In past experience's we have had trouble loading him into the Barriers, and he often puts up a fight. You will often see Roo make a late start from the gates, and despite a burst of excitment as he starts off at a gallop, he will let himself stay back a bit. He gets along quite well with other horses, and we are still trying to get him to see other racehorse's as a threat to get him to make a quicker start. Yet he knows his plans, and once hes warmed up, he will kick into gear and give you a run for your money, at that point he will keep at his set pace, until encouraged at the last few furlongs, and then he will be off again like a bullet.
