THE HORSE;
Registered Name: Offshore Nickname: Ola Age: One Breed: Thoroughbred Colour: Grey Markings: One Stocking Height: 16.1 hh Gender: Filly
Ola has a very different colour for such a young thoroughbred. Her coat an almost snow white, and her mane and tail a dark grey. She has very large and expressive eyes, and when you get to know her well enough you learn that you can tell her mood through her eyes alone. Ola isn't very vocal, and talks to you mainly with her body language. A reassuring nudge, a head shake, a stomp of her back leg or simply just the way she stares at you when she's content. She is a very fast walker, and you need to know this when you handle her or you'll find yourself with a grazed heel, or your shoe being pulled off. She is very active, and doesn't like to stop moving, even if shes just quivering a back leg, but she is often found pacing up and down the fence. At the most of times, Ola is very eager to spend as much time with people as possible, but doesn't bond so easily to everyone. She's reasonably intelligent and is able to pick the horses she wants to challenge and the horses that are best to stay away from. When it comes to racing, Ola has a very open opinion.
HISTORY BLURB Ola's story is an inspiring one. Whilst the Flemming's where having family troubles and where on the other side of the country trying to sort them out, they stopped by at a local auction. While many cross's, paints and pony's where sold off at small prices, we noticed this little yearling filly come dancing into the picture. Wide eyed and quite unaware of her faith, she had a jagged coat and a large, drop down belly. We eyed her, curious of her strange colour and when the 'Kill Bidder' put a rock bottom bid on her, we leaped into gear. The bidding didn't carry on for long, but we managed to get her just bellow One Thousand. We never expected to spend that much, but as we were getting up into the higher hundreds, another bidder came in and we had to battle with them to get our hands on the filly. We where happy with our buy, and considering we didn't have a float with us, we had to chat with a few Stock Transporters, and asked if anybody was coming down near the coast. After some asking, we found one jolly fellow who didn't mind bringing her down in his travels a month or two away for a small sum. So Ola arrived, worried and unsure, and we fell in love with her immediately, for her magnificent colour and her brave heart.

THE RACEHORSE;
Race Record: Workout/Training Posts:
When it comes to racing, Ola has a very open opinion. She is always quite excited before a race and dancing around before being loaded into the starting gates (which she is used to and does with no problems). She doesn't size up horses before a race, but is more on the thought that they're all friends and simply are going to cheer her on when she's running. She is a quick learner though so it wont take her long to catch onto the fact that she's actually here to challenge them. Ola sits at the back of the back, making sure she is just behind them and doing what she can to stay there whether it means slowing down or speeding up. After about four furlongs she makes her move and sits on the very outside of the pack, isolating herself completely. She stays here usualy for another three furlongs and then spends the rest of the distance battling for lead place, always coming from the outside and working her way in.
