RACE AGAINST TIME
The colt snorted curiously and paced on the spot. Marien ran a hand down his neck "Its ok sweetie, theres nothing to get you out here" she soothed softly. As if understanding Parker stopped his fearful jog and stood still. Nick could feel his deep breaths as he took in the scenery around him. The thoroughbred was being leased out from Sarah Star, a friend of theirs. And hopefuly they would be able to congratulate her and comment her on such a fine horse when it came to giving him back.
Nick arranged himself in the saddle and fiddled with his helmet and saddle before lining up Parker. Marien gave a count down and at 'three' the two leapt forwards. Parker used his hinds to launch him fowards, his ears pricked in excitment. He eyed his surroundings for the furst few seconds but soon stretched his well-muscled neck down and concentrated on running. His ears flickered backwards, forcing the pressurizing wind to change paths. His muscles flexed with every massive, fast movement the powerful horse took.
Nick smiled, being on this horse was an amazing feeling. The wind pressing against his face and whistling through his ears. The whole time the sweet stallion was listening to Nick, unlike any other horse Nick had ridden. It was in his nature. The stallion was focused completely on racing when on the track but in the stable he seemed to transform into a ecstatic, sweet colt that loves a cuddle and a heap of attention.
They rounded the first bend and Parker quickened his stride, of coarse because it was the 'famouse' home run that all horses loved to see. Jetten tail streamed behind him, causing a gentle whistle due to the ammount of speeding air gushing through it. They soon came to the last stretch and the thoroughbred reached forwards. His stride suddenly overflowing with power. The horse burned on as if nothing could stop him, because nothing would stop this horse, ever, from winning somthing he loved so much, a race.
